Hi, I'm Kate Ainscough. I'm an innovation coach working with corporates, startups and universities who want to build things their customers actually want.

Most innovation stalls not because of bad ideas but because teams skip the evidence. I help organisations avoid that. Through deep customer discovery and rapid experimentation, I work with teams to uncover what problems are genuinely worth solving, then shape, test and validate ideas before significant resource gets committed.

AI now runs through everything I do the prep, the synthesis, the prototyping which means sharper outputs and more space for real thinking.

I’m in Gothenburg at World of Volvo . Just staring at this car. I don’t get it. It’s making me angry. 🌸I don’t want customisable interior panels or interchangeable seat covers embroidered with flowers, so I can refresh the cars interior easily. 👜 I really don’t need ‘clever’ interior storage for my handbag in the space between the seats, where you normally find the gear stick and handbrake. 🐎 And don’t get me started on the headrests with an ident for my ponytail.
